Built from solid Walnut with accents in figured Sycamore grown sustainably in the UK. This design features a trio of concealed drawers which disappear seamlessly into the sculptural mass of the desk.

The staves of Walnut mimic the staves of a whiskey barrel. This faceted form is repeated in the Sycamore pedestal and supporting cone. Each individual facet picks up the light in a different manner.

The Walnut staves conceal an access panel formed from two of the staves on the backside of the desk. Behind the access panel is a plug bank and hidden wiring run which connects an opening on the desk top to a hidden exit on the underside of the desk base. This avoids having cables running down the outside of the desk.

The Sycamore pedestal is lined with solid figured Walnut, providing a rich, dark interior to the cabinet. The timber used to line the pedestal is made from two flitches of sequential pieces. This creates a repeating pattern in the grain.

This symmetry is reflected in the Sycamore of the pedestal too which features pairs of book-matched staves, mirrored about a central line of symmetry.

The desk top is made from a high-quality automotive leather hide in a supple black finish. The leather rolls around the edge of the desk top which sits proud of the tops of the Walnut staves, creating a pleasing rounded edge.
